19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his initial trophy for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents his initial title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since March of 2023.
Victory also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children together, so to get a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
His counter-punching strategy and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the final five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
The opponent rescued four initial chances in a competitive deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, he clinched the win with a rally at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
